EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ During a special board meeting on Tuesday, the school board unanimously approved a new teacher contract that raises pay, improves health insurance contributions and adds safety immunity for teachers in threatening situations. The 76-page deal, which allocates $214 million for 18,000 educators and provides bonuses for Title I schools, will extend through June 30—highlighting efforts to retain quality educators. KSNV
