- ➤ The Clark County School District is inviting students, families & community members to share insights in online surveys on long-term goals. Officials will use the feedback to shape future plans. KSNV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Clark County unveiled the Jim McGaughey Detention Basin near East Owens and Los Feliz Boulevard in the East Valley to help slow runoff during heavy rains. The $21.3 million project can hold 23 million gallons of water and 10 acre-feet of sediments. KSNV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Las Vegas Recovery Hospital will open later this month at Dignity Health's Rose de Lima Hospital campus in Henderson to provide patient care for complex addiction and serious medical conditions. The 32,000 sqft facility will offer 68 beds with integrated treatment and support. KSNV
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Local resident Richard B won the Station Casinos College Football Last Man Standing Contest on the weekend of Nov. 22 — beating 3,317 entrants to collect $100,000 at Durango Resort. A Green Valley Ranch player also hit a seven-card straight flush for a $441,330 Pai Gow jackpot early Thursday. KSNV
