- ➤ Critics say a change in the Big Beautiful Bill will limit student loans for nursing students — the new rule caps loans at $20,500 yearly and $100,000 over a lifetime and starts next July. The change may worsen nurse shortages and hurt health care in our valley. KSNV
- ➤ The Clark County school district reported progress filling special education teacher vacancies that began with 163 open positions and is working to hire more teachers before the new term starts. KSNV
