- ➤ Henderson residents and local businesses look forward to the F1 watch party on Saturday night at Water Street Plaza at Henderson City Hall—local officials say the event will open at 7 p.m. with free food, giveaways, a DJ and a pet supplies drive before the race begins at 8 p.m. The planned event is expected to boost local economic activity and offer a family-friendly viewing experience. - ➤ Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions is hosting a week-long event—offering discounts for heavier cats to boost adoptions during the season of gratitude. The organization invites locals to find a new furry friend and give these cats a second chance. KSNV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Public Education Foundation (PEF) honored volunteers on Nov 19th who helped nearly 18,000 teachers and 300,000 students in Southern Nevada. The event celebrated 450 volunteers whose work included reviewing scholarship applications, assembling classroom kits, and providing essential school supplies for Clark County School District. KSNV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ U.S. Senators introduced the Alzheimer’s Screening and Prevention (ASAP) Act on November 20 to ask CMS to cover FDA-approved blood tests that could help detect Alzheimer’s early in nearly 55,000 Nevadans. A companion bill was also introduced by Representative Vern Buchanan (R) to boost early diagnosis and care. KSNV

- ➤ Clark County launched its first Community Land Trust today & said first-time buyers will own their homes while the county keeps the land to maintain low prices. The program will build 240 homes for households earning between 50000 and 95000 & interested buyers must attend an informational session before formal applications open next year. KSNV

- ➤ Lee Canyon will open 80% of its terrain today—adjusting from its initial plan to open all slopes—as ski patrol confirmed the change. KSNV
