- ➤ More than 100 volunteers at Three Square Food Bank packed groceries, including shelf-stable items and fresh produce, for delivery to local residents in need through a partnership with DoorDash. DoorDash drivers delivered the items—helping those unable to visit a food pickup site—and people seeking assistance are advised to call or visit the food bank for more details. KSNV
- ➤ Honor Flight of Southern Nevada will host its Pancakes for Patriots fundraiser to support veteran services—tickets are $10 for early registration and $15 at the door, and veterans will receive a free meal. The organization will hold the event soon. KSNV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Southwest Gas employees, Vegas Golden Knights members, and their families volunteered last Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Spread the Word Nevada’s facility on Arville Street to clean, repair, and organize thousands of donated books for 61 Clark County elementary schools — a project that builds on a long-standing community commitment to literacy.
