EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Clark County School District reported a rise in student collisions from August to November 4, with cases increasing from 120 to 161 — officials link many incidents to e-bikes, e-scooters, and pedestrian errors. Superintendent Jhone Ebert and school leaders plan to work with local municipalities to improve student safety. KSNV
- ➤ Kyle Stumpenhorst, a well-known builder and influencer, led a live framing workshop in Henderson on Tuesday, Nov. 4 to promote skilled trades and support the local Shop Class Foundation—providing hands-on skills to students. - ➤ Clark County will host a public service career fair on Nov. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at North Hall, Room N1 of the Las Vegas Convention Center on Paradise Road — job seekers can meet recruiters from 30 government entities, attend four brief career talks, and register online or walk in on the day. - ➤ State officials said that partial SNAP benefits were sent early Wednesday due to the federal shutdown uncertainty—$29 million reached over 196,000 households. The Nevada Division of Social Services planned the early transmission with support from Governor Lombardo’s cabinet—ensuring many households received up to 50% of their usual benefit amount. KSNV
