GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ RTC is aiding transit riders amid the government shutdown by donating over 10,000 free bus passes to nonprofits including food banks and housing organizations—helping residents reach essential services. It also partnered with community groups to launch an online Healthy Food Access Map that shows meal sites and food pantries near major bus routes. KSNV
- ➤ State Sen. Robin Titus and Assemblywoman Natha Anderson hosted a discussion Monday with Georgia Rep. Marvin Lim — who raised concerns about transferable credits — as lawmakers debated a proposed film tax credit that would cap credits at $120 million and require spending within the state. Supporters said the measure could generate 19,000 jobs and includes accountability steps to ensure funds benefit Nevada. KSNV

- ➤ The Southern Nevada Health District and its partners announced pop-up produce stands this fall at the Bonneville Transit Center, where a stand will be open today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and additional stands will run on Nov. 18th, Dec. 2nd, and Dec. 9th for residents to buy affordable, locally grown fruits and vegetables (SNAP/EBT, cash, debit, or credit cards).
