After a Thursday ribbon cutting in West Henderson, the new Henderson Sport & Social will open its 180,000 sqft facility for sports, recreation, and family fun today and tomorrow at 3375 St Rose Pkwy.

The Nevada Division of State Parks is drafting its first-ever trail development plan to shape hiking, biking, horseback riding and off-highway vehicle use and is asking residents for feedback via an online survey (open until Nov.
30).
Governor Joe Lombardo's budget proposal includes a 12% increase in per-student funding over the biennium — raising spending by about $3,600 toward the national average.
He said revenue gains from business and gaming along with new data centers will help stabilize school funding amid budget challenges.
