- ➤ Southern Nevada officials are reminding residents to prepare for earthquakes ahead of the Great Nevada ShakeOut scheduled for 10:16 a.m. on Oct. 16—officials shared tips on getting under sturdy furniture and avoiding windows during shakes. KSNV
- ➤ State regulators are investigating claims that NV Energy overcharged 80,000 customers more than $17 million over 23 years while the utility filed a proposal last September to refund affected customers with billing errors dating back to 2017 and is now reviewing older records. NV Energy said it corrected billing statuses so active customers will see credits and former ones will receive mailed refunds while expressing regret for the mistake. KSNV
