- ➤ According to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation, the state's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped to 5.3% in August—a 0.1 point decrease from July. The report showed that the Las Vegas area had a rate of 5.6%, Reno 4.2%, Carson 4%, Pershing County 3.4% and Mineral County 9.7%. KSNV
- ➤ A study by the Associated General Contractors shows that Nevada ranked lowest in construction job performance nationwide. Since peaking in 2023, construction jobs have dropped by more than 6% this year—tourism and economic shifts are blamed for the decline. KSNV
