- ➤ CCSD Police said that they have confiscated 11 guns to date compared to 14 last year and are using random screenings with a K—9 unit and weapons detection systems at large school events after incidents at Hickey Elementary and Cimarron-Memorial left parents upset. KSNV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner reported 191 heat-related deaths in 2025 so far—22 cases are still pending investigation, a sharp rise from August’s 114 deaths. Officials explained that factors like fentanyl use, heart disease and physical exertion may increase the risk of heat-related illness. KSNV
