Good morning, Henderson.

The Nevada utility board will decide on Tuesday at 10 a.m. on NV Energy's proposal for a 9% rate hike that may lower net metering credits by about 25% and add new demand fees that could raise electricity bills.

NV Energy was approved by the Public Utilities Commission to add a new demand charge to home and small business bills beginning in April 2026 — for most customers, overall bills will stay about the same if energy use remains steady, and the company will start a customer education plan before the change.

The Southern Nevada Health District Immunization Clinics announced seasonal vaccines including updated COVID-19 shots for clients aged 5 and older with private insurance and Medicaid at clinics in Henderson and other local areas.

Updated COVID-19 doses for uninsured and underinsured individuals will be available after the CDC advisory meeting later this month—flu and RSV vaccines are already available for eligible people.
