Roundy Elementary teacher Kim Kohut was surprised by the Las Vegas Grand Prix when she received two tickets to this year's Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix as recognition for her dedication to her students.

She was nominated by her principal for her creativity + energy at work.

The Clark County Museum Guild is asking Henderson residents to help raise an extra $1.6 million to move and restore Howard Hughes’ historic home—known as the Green House—by relocating it to their museum.

The project will cost about $4.3 million and needs more community support to preserve this landmark where Hughes once lived.

A cyber attack disrupted Nevada's background check system and gun sales, and state officials are still working to fix the issue — gun shop owners warn that the system will face a heavy backlog when service resumes.
