- ➤ A local animal shelter at The Animal Foundation is asking for dry and wet dog food donations because the pantry has only a few bags left—after distributing over 3,400 pounds last month. Community members can drop off donations at the adoption lobby at 655 North Mojave Road, near Bonanza Road. KSNV
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ M Resort in Henderson has moved up its $206 million expansion project and now expects its second hotel tower to open on Dec. 1 pending regulatory approval, which will double its hotel capacity to 765 rooms and suites. The project will also add a new 15000 square feet ballroom opening on Oct. 1 and a dining venue from Emeril Lagasse's restaurant group—Meril. KSNV
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A student was arrested at Basic High School in Henderson after CCSD Police recovered a loaded firearm with ammunition on Wednesday—no threats were made and officials stressed that weapons are banned on campus. KSNV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Southern Nevada Health District said its clinics do not yet have the updated COVID-19 vaccine while previous shots remain available for eligible people—adults aged 65 and those with underlying conditions should follow guidelines and expect more details when the new vaccine is available.
