- ➤ Owners of Taste Budz Creole Kitchen asked the community for help after a fire last month damaged their Maryland Parkway location, forcing them to move 18 employees to their Decatur branch and leaving other strip mall businesses without deposit refunds—while they remain thankful that no lives were lost and have started a GoFundMe to rebuild. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The American Red Cross in Southern Nevada reminds residents to donate blood before Aug. 31 and get a free A1C test when they do so. Donors will receive their results in one to two weeks via the donor app and get standard health screenings while those with type O and type B-negative blood are especially encouraged to donate. KSNV
