ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A pedestrian suffered critical injuries in a crash near Lake Mead Parkway and Victory Road in Henderson on Wednesday morning — police closed eastbound Lake Mead at Water Street for investigation. KSNV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Henderson approved its first charter school, Kesher Academy, which will open in fall 2026. The city will monitor the school’s performance and finances — three other applicants have 30 days to revise and resubmit proposals. KSNV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Clark County Coroner's office reported that there have been 87 heat-related deaths in Southern Nevada this year, including 79 confirmed cases and eight pending identification. Investigations can take up to 90 days and the new figures mark a sharp rise from July's 29 cases—many deaths were linked to medical conditions or drug use that increased heat risk. KSNV
