Good morning, Henderson.

The Clark County School District lowered teacher vacancies from over 1,000 to 280 openings going into the new school year—thanks to years of investment and teacher-hire events at the M Resort Spa Casino—while Cheyenne High School nearly fills every teaching role and students will return on Aug. 11.

The C.O.O.L Summer Program in Clark County had only half of the 150 expected students attend due to issues like parents working multiple jobs & transportation challenges in the Pennwood Avenue and Arville Street area.

County officials plan to reassess resources and expand the program next year to offer more activities for local children & address budget cuts.

The Las Vegas Raiders signed tackle Kolton Miller to a three-year extension that guarantees $42.5 million and could reach $66 million — strengthening their offensive line.

Miller, drafted in the first round in 2018 and a nearly constant presence on the field, maintained low quarterback pressures during his appearances — a key factor in the team's decision to extend his contract.
