Good morning, Henderson.

On Jan. 29, Clark County volunteers completed a Point-In-Time count that showed homelessness rose 12% to over 8,800 people — with nearly 25% fewer meeting chronic homelessness criteria due to expanded shelter and case management services.

Data from the Southern Nevada Health District shows that overdose deaths in Clark County increased by over 50% since 2018, with fentanyl overdoses rising more than 600%.

Nonprofits like Shine a Light Foundation help connect those affected to treatment & housing as the crisis continues.
