- ➤ Henderson residents are urged to follow fireworks safety tips as Community Ambulance advises keeping a bucket of water and a shovel on hand when using legal fireworks at home. The official warned that sparklers can burn up to 1,800 degrees—posing serious burn risks—and urged locals to watch professional displays to avoid injuries. 8 News Now

- ➤ CCSD's new superintendent Jhone Ebert met with principals in May and set plans that hold teachers, parents, and students accountable to improve reading, math, and campus safety. She said the district will use ninety million dollars to fill key positions and five million dollars to upgrade air conditioners, and will present her first 100-day report to the School Board on Sep. 3 — steps aimed at boosting the upcoming school year. 8 News Now

- ➤ On Tuesday, Nevada Health Authority launched to consolidate state health and human services programs — including Medicaid, the health insurance exchange and public employee benefits—in response to Gov.
