- ➤ Cox’s annual Back To School Fair will run over four consecutive Saturdays starting July 19, offering free backpacks and school resources from local agencies at four venues. In Henderson, the event is scheduled at the Galleria at Sunset on July 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.—giving families a one-stop chance to prepare for the new school year. KSNV
- ➤ The Clark County Wetlands Park is hosting Discovery Day on Saturday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., where families will enjoy hands-on activities, educational exhibits, and live desert animals — kids can craft wetlands landscapes and meet mascots Tommy the Turtle and Mojave Max. Community booths and Happy Ending Chocolate ice cream tacos add extra fun as the Nature Store is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.— the free event gives everyone a close look at nature. 8 News Now

- ➤ Nearly a year into work, Henderson’s Reimagine Boulder Highway project is changing the busy road with fresh pavement, new drainage, and moved traffic signals to make travel safer by creating two lanes each way with a separate bus lane, bike lanes, and a walker path. The work fixes drainage at the Sunset Boulevard spot (to stop flooding) and adds a new bus system (to keep cars and buses apart) with plans to finish by 2027. 8 News Now
