Good morning, Henderson.

Education officials in Nevada debated whether to penalize schools for chronic absenteeism by including it in star ratings — a notion explored by CCSD leaders and PTA representatives as efforts like Bright Futures Walks support student attendance.
A new law passed in 2025 could bring further changes to the accountability framework.

Local experts say a UK proposal to ban social media for kids under 16 could spark US debates on safety measures.
They stressed that parents should guide teens in responsible platform use (similar to learning to ride a bike) to help protect mental health.

The Vegas Golden Knights announced Tuesday that John Tortorella will not return as head coach for the 2026-27 season.
