- ➤ Henderson police and an FBI task force arrested 25-year-old Diamante Burton on Tuesday around 5:13 p.m. near the 6000 block of Boulder Highway—he is charged with attempted murder, battery, discharging a weapon, and assault in connection with the May 30 shooting at Cowabunga Bay Water Park. KSNV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Joe Lombardo signed AB458 into law + the measure lets affordable housing developers install rooftop solar panels to lower renters' utility bills. The bipartisan bill, sponsored by Assemblyman Howard Watts, comes as the Public Utilities Commission investigates NV Energy for allegedly overcharging over 80,000 renters by at least $17 million + it unlocks federal funds for clean energy projects. - ➤ Senator Jacky Rosen backed a bipartisan bill that will increase Nevada’s low‐income housing tax credits by 50 percent over the next two years—aiming to spur the development of more affordable homes for local families. KSNV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Southern Nevada Health District confirmed four Salmonella cases in Clark County linked to brown organic eggs as part of a multistate outbreak. Health officials are working with the CDC, which reported at least 50 cases nationwide as of June 11, to investigate and urge people to throw out recalled eggs. KSNV
