- ➤ Residents can visit the Las Vegas Farm on weekends between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. where the free market is open and animal viewing costs $10 for adults and $5 for youth, while Founders Coffee donates $1 from each specially brewed drink—created monthly in honor of a rescued animal—to support Barn Buddies Rescue. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Henderson officials broke ground on a nearly three-year project to widen I-215 — adding two lanes in each direction from Pecos Road to Stephanie Street with ramp, pedestrian bridge, and interchange improvements. The $145 million project, funded by Clark County, will start in July and finish in early 2028. 8 News Now
- ➤ Reggie Rader was named Henderson’s new police chief on Wednesday after Hollie Chadwick was dismissed in March amid controversy; he previously served as a deputy chief with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and earned a Medal of Valor — he said he will lead the department with transparency. Chadwick will run for mayor. KSNV
- ➤ Henderson named Reggie Rader as its new police chief following the dismissal of former Chief Hollie Chadwick for differing visions. Rader — with nearly 30 years of law enforcement experience and deep community roots — will assume the role on July 7. KSNV
