HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Local pediatric experts have issued new drowning prevention guidelines as families flock to pools amid a busy summer season. The guidelines advise constant supervision, securing pool barriers (including self-locking gates) and water safety education to help protect children at home and in community pools. KSNV
- ➤ Intermountain Health marked Nurses Week today by honoring local nurses for their key role in community care (local health leaders stressed the importance of their efforts). KSNV

- ➤ A new sports facility in west Henderson now officially bears the name Henderson Sport & Social. The fieldhouse, located at the corner of St. Rose and Maryland parkways, will feature basketball and volleyball courts, turf fields, a fitness center, and community activities, with a grand opening planned for October.
