GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Nevada Department of Transportation will close the ramp connecting southbound U.S. 95 to southbound I-15 on the Spaghetti Bowl from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for three nights starting Monday, Sept. 16. Crews will finish punch list work for Project Neon — work that will ease future traffic. KSNV
- ➤ Clark County commissioners approved a resolution to extend the Las Vegas Grand Prix through 2037. The unanimous vote secures the event's future as a key attraction for the community. KSNV
- ➤ Law enforcement officials urge drivers to slow down near local schools after student traffic incidents rose 245% this school year. A new law on July 1 will double fines and license points in school zones (a measure to reduce accidents) while officials encourage parents to reinforce safe riding practices. KSNV

- ➤ Boys Town urges local parents to watch for subtle signs of stress in children during Children’s Mental Health Awareness Month. The organization advises noticing changes such as irritability and sleep issues (headaches, stomachaches) and consulting a professional if patterns continue. KSNV
