COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation is set to retrieve 20 to 50 beagles from a research breeding facility in Wisconsin and will bring them to the Vegas Valley later this week so they can receive care — vaccinations, spaying and medical treatment. KSNV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Communities in Schools of Nevada announced that CEO Tami Hance-Lehr will retire, and Alex Bybee (a former team member and consultant) will take over on July 13. The change comes after a period of rapid growth serving nearly 100,000 students in 117 schools. KSNV
- ➤ Galen College recently graduated its first Las Vegas class with 19 nurses who will join hospital staffs as the Valley works to ease its critical nurse shortage. The program prepared these graduates to tackle local health care needs. KSNV
