- ➤ The City of Henderson invites residents to watch a new mural come to life at Pumpkin Park on Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Local artist Matthew Murphy will lead the mural project, and while painting slots are full, the event also features fresh vegetables from the community garden and a vendor market — all community members are encouraged to attend. 8 News Now

- ➤ Henderson Police investigated a racist incident near Lake Las Vegas when a construction worker recorded 54-year-old Philip Nevenhoven throwing rocks and making racist remarks—he was cited after officers responded to a noise complaint at 8 a.m. on April 19 as the video spread online. KSNV

- ➤ The Nevada DMV said residents have just over a week to get their Real IDs if they plan to fly after May 7 and must bring proper documents to the DMV. DMV offices are offering walk-in appointments Tuesday from 3 to 4 p.m. until May 15 + many residents already meet the federal requirement. 8 News Now
