- ➤ The Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation and the Henderson Fire Department rallied help for the Schuster family after a fire hurt Chelsea Schuster and her daughter on April 23; both are in the hospital and need many surgeries, skin grafts, and long therapy. Community members are asked to donate (contributions will help pay for high medical care and rehabilitation costs). KSNV

- ➤ PirateFestLV returns today and tomorrow at Craig Ranch Regional Park and offers family-friendly adventure with live shows, interactive attractions, food, games, whiskey and rum tastings, and a VIP experience while proceeds benefit the Paradise Ranch Foundation—which supports equine-assisted therapy programs in Southern Nevada. - ➤ Today, the DEA's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is underway in Henderson as the Police Department opens a drop-off location at 300 S. Green Valley Parkway & residents can turn in unneeded prescription drugs (in original containers) and pet medications while the station does not accept needles, aerosols, or liquids. This event provides a safe, local option for proper medication disposal. KSNV
- ➤ Freeway Service Patrol released a video PSA urging drivers to stay alert on the roads after a video showed their unit was hit while assisting stranded vehicles—warning that speeding and inattentive driving can put both motorists and patrol workers at risk. The alert is part of the patrol's ongoing effort to improve road safety. KSNV
