- ➤ All In Aviation in Henderson will host a free open house on May 1—welcoming the community—to reveal its new 4,000-square-foot expansion that will boost pilot training and aircraft maintenance capacity. The upgraded facility includes a ground school classroom, expanded storage, training rooms and new offices—features showcased alongside Cirrus and Cessna aircraft. KSNV
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ In June 2023, officers responded to a theft and trespassing report at a gas station near Boulder Highway and shot and killed Steven Brucker when he escalated a standoff by pointing his handgun at them—details confirm the incident ended tragically. KSNV

- ➤ Henderson residents will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a free festival at Water Street Plaza on Monday, May 5, starting at 5 p.m. — the event features a vendor market, local bands, and a headlining performance by Mariachi Herencia de México at 7 p.m. — inviting the community to enjoy a festive cultural gathering. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday, the Nevada Legislature passed hundreds of bills in its first house— including the unanimous Right to Contraception and Family Planning Services Act and Lizzy's Law— while other bills did not clear the deadline and will wait for the next session. A wildfire-related measure, Senate Bill 319, was amended so that it will now require a study of consolidating Northern Nevada firefighting agencies rather than immediate changes. KSNV
