ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Gas prices in the valley dropped slightly as regular unleaded dipped to $4.98 per gallon following a partial opening of the Strait of Hormuz and a ceasefire extension. In Henderson, drivers reported Sinclair at $4.29 and Maverik at $4.37 and noted the small drop does not ease high fuel costs. KSNV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Crews will install new signs on westbound I-215 Thursday morning — a lane closure that may slow drivers as they navigate key Las Vegas routes. KSNV
- ➤ A legal challenge against the Southern Nevada Water Authority's grass removal program will continue after the Nevada Supreme Court refused this week to block the measure. KSNV
- ➤ Henderson was chosen as the only city in Nevada to offer in-person support for 988 Crisis Lifeline calls after the April 21 City Council meeting. The city will expand its Crisis Response Team & services with the program launching later this year. KSNV
- ➤ Henderson’s city council approved a solar power system donation from Sol-Up on Tuesday for the Animal Protection Services facility and said the system will lower energy use and add more shade for animals and guests. KSNV

- ➤ Today, the Raiders are expected to select first overall in the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh as they aim to bring Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza into the lineup — a move bolstered by veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins.
