ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A motorcyclist died after his speeding 2008 Honda clipped another vehicle and triggered a multi-vehicle crash on the Henderson interstate on April 14 — he was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead on April 16.  8 News Now
  • Motorcycle deaths have risen in early 2025 with 14 fatalities recorded compared to 10 last year, and local authorities in Henderson reported fatal crashes on I-11 and at the Sunset Rd and Marks St intersection that killed Brian Frazier on April 17—officials say warmer weather and increased rider activity are likely factors.  KSNV

CRIME NEWS

  • Henderson Police closed the 1981 cold case murder of 20-year-old Vicki Radig after DNA testing confirmed her boyfriend, Walter Bradley DeMint, who died in 2007, was the only viable suspect—her family has been notified.  KSNV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Lombardo announced on Monday that Mike Dreitzer, an experienced gaming industry insider with decades of compliance background from roles like deputy attorney general, will be the new chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Current chairman Kirk Hendrick said he expects a smooth transition when he steps down on June 22+ Dreitzer is prepared to lead the board as it continues to oversee casino regulation.  8 News Now
