ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A motorcyclist died in a crash at the intersection of Sunset Road and Marks Street around 10:33 a.m. on Thursday—no other injuries were reported—and police have not yet determined if speed or alcohol were factors. KSNV
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ The federal government filed a lawsuit against Greystar for allegedly charging hidden fees that collected over $100 million from tenants in Nevada and other states between summer 2019 and summer 2022—Greystar said it will defend itself against claims of deceptive advertising. KSNV
- ➤ Pilots at Allegiant Air are seeking a release from mediation that may lead to a potential strike—Teamsters Local 2118, which represents 1,400 pilots, reported they requested this step to allow binding arbitration. The union noted the pilots voted 97% last fall to authorize the strike—if either side rejects arbitration, a 30-day cooling-off period will begin. KSNV

- ➤ On Wednesday, the Clark County District Attorney’s Victim Witness Assistance Center hosted a Community Resource Fair at Pearson Community Center as part of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week—25 local agencies provided victims with support like crisis intervention, court accompaniment, and victim advocacy. The center assisted over 18,000 victims last year and was honored by the Board of County Commissioners on April 15. Clark County
- ➤ Clark County is boosting drowning prevention this swim season by offering free swim classes for children four and younger through a $2,500 grant from SNICC and an additional $20,000 donation to local governments for swimming lessons.
