- ➤ On Wednesday, the Henderson Fire Department honored more than 130 employees, medical partners, and residents at its annual ceremony, recognizing lifesaving rescues, leadership, and community support — awards included Firefighter of the Year, Citizen Lifesaving, Customer Service, and Visionary Award. - ➤ Henderson Animal Protection Services removed more than 40 animals from a home near Galleria Drive and Eastgate Road after reports revealed unsafe and unsanitary conditions. City veterinary staff began treating the animals as officials investigate the ordinance violation. KSNV
