  • On Wednesday, the Henderson Fire Department honored more than 130 employees, medical partners, and residents at its annual ceremony, recognizing lifesaving rescues, leadership, and community support — awards included Firefighter of the Year, Citizen Lifesaving, Customer Service, and Visionary Award. This recognition celebrated a year of dedicated service and strong community ties.  KSNV
  • Henderson Animal Protection Services removed more than 40 animals from a home near Galleria Drive and Eastgate Road after reports revealed unsafe and unsanitary conditions. City veterinary staff began treating the animals as officials investigate the ordinance violation.  KSNV

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Nevada drivers saw a small break at the pump as average gas prices fell by 6 cents to $4.95 a gallon this week, though prices remain higher than last month and last year. AAA notes that while some relief is evident, rising costs continue to impact local drivers.  KSNV

  • The Vegas Golden Knights will start their playoff series against Utah Sunday at T-Mobile Arena, aiming to jumpstart their postseason push for local fans. The team hopes to set a strong tone for the series.  KSNV
