- ➤ Obodo Collective hosted its second annual Mothers Garden Book Festival today in Historic Westside—focusing on promoting literacy in the neighborhood. Attendees also took part in a cursive handwriting workshop that offered hands-on learning. KSNV
- ➤ HomeAid Southern Nevada hosted its 12th annual 'Target Homelessness Target Shoot' fundraiser yesterday at the Pro Gun Club in Boulder City to raise funds for housing and outreach initiatives—participants bought team packages with shooting clays, ammunition, meals and raffle entries. Executive Director Taylor Booth discussed a current project with Caridad that involves renovating an office space and replacing 124 air conditioning units. KSNV
- ➤ The Nevada Blind Children's Foundation held its annual Beepin' Egg Hunt on Saturday at Mountain Crest Recreation Center to offer a fun day for visually impaired children and their families. - ➤ Cowabunga Bay Waterpark will reopen on April 19 with weekend operations offering more than 25 attractions including slides, a giant wave pool and a lazy river—its signature ride—and it will switch to daily operations on May 23. - ➤ The Nevada Youth Soccer Association hosted the TOPSoccer program on Saturday at the Kellogg Zaher Soccer Complex where athletes with disabilities received soccer training and team placement opportunities.
