  • TV stars Patrick Duffy and Linda Purl are launching Duffy’s Dough bake-at-home bread at Smith's stores across the Valley, donating all profits to fight food insecurity. The artisan bread, made with a family sourdough starter, bakes in eight minutes and is priced affordably.  KSNV

CULTURE NEWS

  • Clark County Public Arts Office invites artists age 8 and older to submit original works exploring Cinco de Mayo and bi-national identity for a public exhibit at the Rotunda Gallery from April 20 to May 28; submissions are due April 1 (applications can be submitted online or by email).  KSNV

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices reached $4.86 per gallon today with an increase of 20 cents in one week and $1.15 this month as rising demand and high crude oil prices push rates higher. Las Vegas and Reno recorded averages of $4.90 and $5.12 respectively.  KSNV

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Clark County School District and the Clark County Educators Association signed an agreement allowing educators to donate sick leave to each other, covering benefits not part of the current contract. The move aims to support staff during shortages.  KSNV
  • Roseman University is launching a life science incubator to boost Southern Nevada's biotechnology sector & encourage local discoveries.  KSNV
