- ➤ Wynn Resorts and its CEO have established a $2 million scholarship for UNLV-bound students (children of employees) to boost educational opportunities and support local workforce families. KSNV
- ➤ Growing budget concerns in the school district have many local teachers anxious about job security & unclear surplus procedures. Some educators will wait until after the surplus meeting in April to decide if they will reapply, hoping the district will soon provide more details on budget and hiring plans. KSNV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Local and regional law enforcement agencies are coordinating safety plans for upcoming mega-events in Las Vegas, including WrestleMania 42 in April and Electric Daisy Carnival in May, officials said. The measures will adjust screening protocols based on event size & scope to protect visitors. KSNV
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Mountain West announced that North Dakota State will join as a football-only member in 2026, adding a trip for UNLV to Fargo, North Dakota. The move comes with a nearly ($12 million) entrance fee and involves a two-year transition before postseason eligibility. KSNV
